“ In a word, wonderful! The friendliness of the staff, the cider experience, and the food (especially the steak) were absolutely fantastic. My little daughter loved this place too and said she had a great time. We followed Google Maps from central San Sebastián and planned to walk from the bus stop, but we could only find roads that prohibited pedestrians. When we contacted the staff to let them know we would be late for our reservation, they kindly explained everything to us in detail. Thanks to their help, we made it and had an amazing experience. They were also very considerate toward my daughter, asking if they should prepare something for her and recommending a delicious apple juice for her to try. If you’re coming by public transportation, the train might be a better option. ”
“ Pretty much what everyone says. Juanjo gives all his guests his full attention, even the kids. You can’t find that level of attention in other sidrerías. It definitely is a different experience and worth the visit. The food was also excellent. The steak delicious and the cider I have to say, was also delicious. ”

We didn’t really order they just brought out different dishes which were excellent each time, the highlights were the cod omelette and the steak, the steak was so good we ordered a second one. “ Wow what a place! This was our first stop straight from the airport. I chose it based on the high google rating but wasn’t expecting the wonderful warm service we received. The owner welcomed us straight from the door and took us on a little cider tasting before we even sat on a table. After we sampled cider from all the casks we were seated and got wonderful recommendations for what is best and freshest to order. We didn’t even need to see a menu. Food started flowing over to our table. Delicious sausage, cod omelette and txuleta which was divine! Cider is bottomless and delicious. The owner regularly checks in on us and even though our spanish is poor and their English not the best, he used google translate to ensure he engaged with us. We parted with a hug, made us feel like family. Thank you! highly recommend everyone should visit this little gem ”

“ We just had an amazing afternoon in the Iguarte Sagardotegia. What can I say about it ? The cider is great, the food is delicious but the best is the people working there. Eskerrik Asko !! You gave us a great experience. We had the traditional Sagardotegia menu of Txistorra, Mixed Salad, Tortilla de Bacalao, Revuelto con Morcilla, Txuleta and finished with Cheese and Walnuts. Everything was delicious. The cider you can top up as you need to and we loved it. If you are in Donostia/San Sebastián take the Euskotren to Lasarte Oria then walk 10 minutes and have the best time ! ”

Juan José is a true character - warm, welcoming, and full of energy, which made the visit even more memorable.
